Creating and developing new business is the highest priority for all companies no matter what their size, their area of business, or whether they are public or privately owned.
Product and service life cycles continue to shorten. The universal quest is to create, develop, produce and introduce new products and services at an ever increasing pace. But there are endemic problems with existing concepts and methods that the Isis 2nd RenaissanceSMLeadership/Management Program directly addresses.
The conventional theory and practice of Entrepreneurship – the creating and developing of new business ventures – we believe is broken. Like Humpty Dumpty – Who had a great fall and all the king’s horses and all the king’s men could not put him back together again. A dramatically different Entrepreneurship Model is essential. The new model needed is an integral part of the Isis Program.
The conventional theory and practice of intrapreneurship – the creating and developing of new business ventures within, or directly related to, an existing company – is also drastically obsolete. It has become less and less effective, especially for larger companies.
You cannot organize and lead and manage in the same old ways and expect to be effective. The management of stable product and service lines has disappeared. There is no way in our opinion to fix-up or extend what now exists. It must be transcended and replaced.
The question is – What do you replace the conventional organization and leadership/management with? That is exactly what the Isis 2nd RenaissanceSM Program offers. There is an Isis guiding principle that derives from the words of an ancient Chinese Wiseman who said:
If the wrong man uses the right means,
The right means will work in the wrong way.
It is my professional experience that I have never known a wrong person to use the right means. Therefore, in the Isis Group we choose to restate the Wiseman’s comment to become:
In our experience, the wrong person will always
choose and try to use the wrong means,
That will then work in disastrous ways
Therefore, to accomplish the Isis 2nd RenaissanceSM Program to replace what currently exists, it is necessary to accomplish two things – First, to become the Right Person by discontinuously transforming to a new mindset – Second, to Know and to Use the Right Means that are consistent with the new mindset.
Each portion of the Isis Program approaches things in this way. First – Enabling you to become the Right Person for that part of the program. Second – Enabling you the learn and to use the Right Means appropriate for the Right Person.
